Summer Housing

Penn is a destination of choice for a myriad of conferences and events, attracting thousands of interns, summer session students, and researchers each summer. Dive in, study hard, improve your skills, achieve your goals, meet new people from all over the world, and forge lifelong friendships. Once you explore all the options, we’re confident you’ll find that Penn is the right destination for you.

Summer housing is available for college students (18-24) who are either currently enrolled at Penn, will be taking summer classes at Penn, or are an undergraduate scholar. If you’d like to stay at Penn for other reasons, please visit Conference accommodations, Extended stay housing, or Summer programs.

Key application details

This year’s summer housing will be available between May 25 to August 9, 2025.

  • Registration

    Begins February 21, 2025. Applications are on a rolling, first-come, first-serve basis and will close once we have reached max capacity.

  • Submission

    We require housing applications to be submitted at least 5 business days before your selected move-in date so that all backend operations are complete, ensuring a smooth check-in process for you.

  • Processing and confirmation

    Please allow 5 business days for your application to be processed. Submitting an application does naot guarantee a reservation: look out for a confirmation email from our team.

Spend your Summer at Penn

Hospitality Services is pleased to offer housing in a furnished and air-conditioned residence hall for students who are taking Summer Session courses. Residents will have the ability to stay in single private apartments or multi-occupancy suites and will have a private or shared bedroom.

Terms of occupancy coincide with summer session terms. Housing is also available for Penn and non-Penn students participating in research projects and internships.

    For college students (aged 18-24) who are currently enrolled at Penn, will be taking summer classes at Penn, or an undergraduate scholar.
