Summer Housing

Penn is a top destination for summer study, conferences and events, drawing thousands of interns, summer students, and researchers each year.

Spend Your Summer at Penn

Summer housing is available for college students (18-24) who are enrolled at Penn, taking summer classes, or undergraduate scholars. If you're visiting for other reasons, check out Conference Accommodations, Extended Stay Housing, or Summer Programs. Hospitality Services offers furnished, air-conditioned housing in private apartments or multi-occupancy suites with private or shared bedrooms.

Housing terms align with summer session dates and are also available for Penn and non-Penn students in research or internship programs.

Key application details

This year’s summer housing will be available between May 25 to August 9, 2025.

  • Registration

    Begins February 21, 2025. Applications are on a rolling, first-come, first-serve basis and will close once we have reached max capacity.

  • Submission

    We require housing applications to be submitted at least 5 business days before your selected move-in date so that all backend operations are complete, ensuring a smooth check-in process for you.

  • Processing and confirmation

    Please allow 5 business days for your application to be processed. Submitting an application does naot guarantee a reservation: look out for a confirmation email from our team.

    Summer undergraduate housing

    For college students (aged 18-24) who are currently enrolled at Penn, will be taking summer classes at Penn, or an undergraduate scholar.
